We’ve all heard about the moral implications of “playing God,” but if we have the power to clone organs and sheep, shouldn’t we be using this technology to replace some of the endangered species? And if we have any DNA in a lab somewhere of extinct animals, why not some of them too?

Here in NZ we’ve got several species of flightless bird which are endangered in the wild, like kiwis, takahe and kakapo. I’d have thought that the more breeding pairs there were in different locations throughout the world, the better their chances of survival. The high prices they command guarantee that they’ll be well looked after. Why don’t we encourage an export trade in them?

I need to know any endangered species that are found in the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. Any help would be appreciated =)
