ok so it says there is a freeride zone, but i want to know if it means anyone (assuming they pay the ten dollar enterance fee) can ride? and is it a large course? will it be challanging, like for mountain bikes? or like a kiddy trail?

Getting the most out of Sea Otter MTB festival in Monterey, CA next weekend?

I’ve never been to Sea Otter before. For those who have been, I’d like to hear tips and tricks for attending. I’m staying in a hotel in Carmel, so I’m not camping.

I’m just spectating, not racing and I’m trying to decide what type of bike to bring for just riding around the festival. Should I bring my single speed / fixed gear rigid frame with cyclocross tires on it? That’ll be easier to pack up. Or should I just bring my softail?

Any other tips for Sea Otter are appreciated, thanks!
