Besides the obvious extinction from hunting, describe the types of foods that they eat, and how they support the circle of life. Also, see if you can give an example of an extinct species who controlled a population of nuisance animals, and how keeping the wolves safe would prevent that. Have a healthy and happy leap year!

Well evidently it would prevent their extinction from idiots who build houses in the middle of a forest then wonder why wolves and bears come sniffing round. Then they think the solution is a gun or a trap.
Not only does it protect the wolves’ habitat, but also ,as Roadrunner posted, the habitat and food chain of numerous other animals.
