What will happen if a Domestic i.e. House Cat sees or meets a Siberian Tiger?

siberian tiger

Hi, you see I have two cute, cuddly and fat cats. Their names are Caesar and Brutus. I was just thinking that a tiger is a cat too, although wild and big one. But imagine if it sees a cute, cuddly fat cat, what would it think?

Suppose I take my two cats to a zoo and show them a huge Siberian Tiger (a real one). What do you think will be the reaction of them when they see each other so close.

Maybe the two cats will think, “Wow, big daddy eats a lot ”
and maybe the Siberian Tiger will think, ” So, Lilliput island does exist ” !
What do you think will happen? The Tiger will be in his cage of course and I will hold the cats so that they can see each other eye to eye.

Cats don’t care. Big cat will eat little cat, cousin or not.

I’ve actually wondered the same thing. I think if you were to put them in the tiger cage the tiger would play with them for a minute or two and them eat both of them. Tigers have actually been know to eat their own young.

Its cruel to keep big cats as pets.

Probably, what I think, Siberian will keep an eye on little fatty house cats and try to sneak a chance to grab them if you aren’t careful. But it’s in a cage, innit? So don’t worry.

First off, does the zoo let in domestics? The 2 zoos I am most familiar with say “no dogs”. I don’t think they ever though somebody would bring cats. Or any other kind of domestic. Second, do your cats like travel? My cat hates car rides wan will not walk on a leash.
Third. I don’t think that either wild or domestic cats have a category in their heads for “members of the feline family” I think they have Cats, Dogs, Humans, Prey, and Things That Could Hurt/Eat Me. Remember a cat’s brain is not that big. I think that the Tiger would see the House cat as Prey, if it bothered to notice it at all and the House cat would see the Tiger as a Thing That Eats Me. I don’t think they would find the outing fun.
If the zoo lets you take cats in, take them to the bird section.

Well, if you do get into the zoo with your cats, I think they would run from the zoo as soon as they got the chance. Just please, don’t leave your cats with a tiger!

Domestic house cats would be chew toys for a Siberian Tiger.

The tiger will see the domestics as food. Simple as that.
It does not matter that they are from the same family class or not.
Your cats will most probably freak out and try and get away. They will probably cut you to ribbons in the process.
